Interactive Climate & Breeding Matrix
Understanding the vector development rate across different environmental climate sectors.
Tropical Rainforest
Characterized by year-round high temperatures and heavy rain. Allows constant breeding of *Aedes aegypti* and *Anopheles darlingi*. Hatching speed is optimal at 7-8 days.
Arid / Desert
Extreme dry conditions restrict mosquito populations to river basins, irrigation canals, and oasis wells where *Culex pipiens* and *Anopheles stephensi* breed in still reservoirs.
Temperate / Continental
Cold winters force mosquitoes into diapause (dormant hibernation state). Active populations spike dramatically in summer months, breeding in urban pools and woodland water barrels.
