About MosquitoInfo
MosquitoInfo is an open, community-backed public health portal dedicated to tracking mosquito taxonomy, epidemiology, and localized environmental management.
Our Objective
Mosquitoes are the world's deadliest animals, responsible for over 700,000 deaths annually due to malaria, dengue, yellow fever, and encephalitis transmission. Despite this impact, access to clean, unified, and actionable information on mosquito species morphology, breeding sites, and local weather patterns remains highly fragmented across academic repositories and public alerts.
Our mission is to consolidate this data into a modern, accessible interface: a platform acting as the Wikipedia, Google Maps, and WebMD of mosquito intelligence, allowing researchers and home occupants alike to identify and neutralize vector threats.
Scientific Taxonomy
Collating morphological details, size guidelines, coloration metrics, and distinct identification keys for 3,500+ global mosquito species.
Vector Control
Providing clinically vetted guidelines on repellents (DEET, Picaridin) and biological control (Bti larvicides) to safeguard communities.
